LoginID achieves FIDO UAF 1.1 Certifications

Certifications will make LoginID one of the first companies globally to be certified for both client and authenticator

San Mateo, CA, January 6, 2021. - LoginID, a FIDO-certified strong authentication solution provider, announced obtaining the latest UAF 1.1 Server, iOS and Android certifications by the FIDO Alliance today, which will help companies move beyond the use of traditional passwords.

FIDO UAF is a certification standard developed by the FIDO Alliance that allows users to authenticate themselves securely and conveniently on their personal computers and mobile devices, without the use of passwords. Recognized by the International Telecommunication Union’s Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T), the protocol achieves this by allowing users to leverage security factors on their device to create and release a private key that is passed to the FIDO UAF Server in order to verify and authenticate the user.

The protocol also supports the creation and configuration of various policies for transaction verification. The private key generated by a user will be passed through the FIDO UAF server in order to sign different types of transaction data, such as financial transactions, in a secure way.
